Statewide system of biking, walking trails topic of Tampa meeting

“Last year, Gov. Rick Scott allocated $25 million for the project every year for the next five years. The first $25 million came July 1, but none of the money, which comes from new vehicle registration charges, has been spent yet, said Huiwei Shen, manager of FDOT’s systems planning office. The money, which can roll over every year, can only be spent on creating paved trails, Shen said, and excludes amenities like benches, trail heads and kiosks.” See More . . .
