Hillsborough regulators seek support from courts against Uber, Lyft

“The companies use smartphone apps to allow riders to summon nearby drivers who use their own cars. Both argue that they are technology companies, not transportation companies, and thus don’t fall under the rules administered by the PTC. Temple Terrace city council member David Pogorilich made the motion, calling it the next logical step after neither company altered its operations after receiving the cease and desist letter.” See More . . .
